In The Road Less Traveled, pop psychologist M. Scott Peck seems to indicate that he believes so strongly that his patients need love that he would even engage in a physical (sexual) relationship with them if he felt it would make them feel loved and get well. While I disagree completely with that application, it does serve to show how strongly he believes we all need loving relationships.
All of us hunger to love and be loved. Yet more often than not, we find hindrances to loving relationships at every corner. This sermon speaks concerning how God meets this need inside of the Christian Community — the Church — and how we can overcome the hindrances to loving relationships.
