One of my favorite stories is of the man who entered the police station to pay a parking fine and noticed an old woman just ahead of him was trembling all over. He paid his three dollars and was about to leave when he saw the woman sitting on a bench in the corner absorbed in a book, still trembling.

“What’s the trouble? Is there anything I can do?” he asked.

“No, thank you!” she said, “You see, I was sitting at home all alone reading this mystery story and got so scared that I came down here to finish it under police protection.”

That story reminds me that fear can be a powerful thing. Unfortunately, fear can paralyze us in our walk with God. This sermon is designed to help you move from fear to faith.
