OK — I kind of gave up on being an astronaut when I was in about fourth grade, but if I could figure out a way to observe this firsthand, I’d be on my way!

In recent weeks, unwanted users have been flooding this blog.
I stop the spam with Spam Karma 2. It almost never fails. Still, the users register and clutter my user database.
So today, I turned off the feature that says “Anyone can register.” If I am not mistaken, anyone can still comment, but if you wish to register, let me know and I will add you manually.
This change will have no effect on registered users.

So today my wife saw a cardinal outside.

I’ve been looking for a new header for the church site, so I ran for the camera and took a picture. It’s on the header of this blog for now because it’s just not good enough for the church site.
My wife said that the cardinal should be in the front, but it’s hard to get birds to cooperate when you’re standing on the front porch in your socks. So for her, here’s the cardinal — up close.
Maybe next time he’ll cooperate and strike a pose worthy of her!
Until then, this will have to do.
PS: Thanks to Josh for the old header.
